See what past participants have said:

I had seen resin online and was fascinated with it, but felt overwhelmed when I tried using it myself. I signed up for Natalie’s workshop and it gave me the confidence to finally learn how to properly use it. I walked away with gorgeous pieces and the know-how to create on my own. I highly recommend this workshop to anyone, at any level. It’s very comprehensive, but also fun. Go for it!
— Dennis H, October 2024
I wanted to try something different and creative, being around other people who were into art. I had never used resin but it looked really interesting so I signed up, and wow! I cannot believe how much art we made and how nice it all looked, the workshop totally exceeded my expectations and the art I took home is now proudly displayed on my wall.

  • We use ART RESIN brand epoxy in this workshop - a very common product used in the arts, popular due to its safe and non-toxic, low VOC nature. This resin has a very mild smell, it will not harm anyone through exposure, scent or even touching the skin. I also provide gloves and use proper ventilation.

  • The workshop takes place at the Rockslide Gallery - 780 Blanshard street, at the corner of Fairfield road and Blanshard street. There is meter parking on the street, and various paid lots within a few blocks of the workshop location.

  • The Resin Fundamentals Workshop is a deep dive into the technical and creative foundations of abstract art using resin. You’ll learn how to properly mix and pour clear coats, integrate other mediums, troubleshoot issues like bubbles or curing problems, and master the design principles that allow you to use resin intentionally in your abstract paintings and mixed-media work.

The Holiday Resin Workshop, on the other hand, is a seasonal creative experience designed for fun, color, and play. In that class, you’ll add paints and pigments to resin to create beautiful gifts and decorative pieces — but the emphasis is on crafting and experimentation, not fine-art composition.

If you’ve taken the Holiday Workshop and loved working with resin, this Fundamentals course is your opportunity to build skill, control, and artistic freedom — so you can use resin confidently in your own art practice year-round.
