art Events and private parties

Great for Bachelorette Parties, Workplace Parties, Team Building, Birthdays, and in any circumstance where you want to bring people together for Fun, Creativity, and Connection. These events can be held in my Studio, or in your location of choice. I am also available to travel to you for events.

Here’s an example of an Abstract Art Workshop/ Event with me:

We come together in an appropriate space such as my studio, or your location which I have prepared as a pop-up studio space. We begin with introductions where I ask a couple of questions for everyone to answer/ share with the group, as a way of enhancing the connection amongst the group, and as an ice breaker. I also share a little bit about myself and my creative journey. We then shift into creative mode:

Abstract Resin Art Basics - I will go over some Abstract Art and Resin concepts, with demonstrations and examples from previous workshops.

These include: 
- washes with acrylic paints
- "splattering" technique
- composition: full covering, negative space, telling a "story"
- introducing resin to the artwork
- mixing mediums with resin
- adding resin as a clear top coat
- and "revisions", which is seeing mistakes with a sense of openness and innovation, while adding depth to the artwork. 

Mediums we use include: acrylic paints, acrylic inks, alcohol inks, pastels, paint pens and resin. 

During the first half, each participant will get to practice these concepts on paper and on a canvas board. In the second half of the workshop, we will begin creating the final painting, which is a medium-sized painting that they can bring home. 

I would send you an email that I ask you forward to everyone in attendance so that they know what to bring and what to expect. This will include instructions on location and parking as well. 

Lastly, I take photos and videos throughout the class so that you can all have some memories along the way. 

PRICES: start at $100/ person, + tax.
- this includes all supplies, demos, handouts, hands on learning and the artwork participants take home.
