You know how December goes.
It's the 22nd, you're at the mall at 9 pm, buying another candle and another gift card for people you actually love.
Those gifts are forgotten by February. The ones people keep are the ones you made.
Spend a November afternoon with me, and leave with gifts you'll be proud to give, each one made by hand, each one entirely yours.
And no, you don't need to be "artistic." Alcohol ink flows, blooms and blends on its own. Your job is to guide it, and I'll show you exactly how. Even first-timers leave with pieces that look like they came from a holiday market.
Eleven finished gifts.
Or keep a few for yourself. I won't tell.

A framed winter botanical
Glowing petals and winter florals, framed and ready to hang. The gift that makes people ask, "Wait, you made this?"
A set of 4 coasters
Matching ink-swirled ceramic coasters, sealed to last for years. A set worthy of any holiday market.
2 glass ornaments
Ink swirled inside clear ornaments, so every one is a one-of-a-kind marble of colour. Hang them on the tree or tie them on a gift.
4 holiday cards or tags
So even the wrapping is handmade.

From past classes
"I knew that alcohol inks were fun but I had no idea that you could do so much with them! And once Natalie showed us all of the techniques, I was able to make so many great little pieces of art. I went home and kept going and going with supplies I ordered online. I also met some really nice people. Definitely recommend!"
"I went into this class because I needed a creative escape and wow did it ever melt away my stress. I totally enjoyed Natalie's guidance and teaching style as well. I will be doing this again!"

"Alcohol inks are a transformative art medium. There is nothing quite like them. I have never been able to create exquisite flowers, but this medium was the key to finally doing it. Natalie is an amazing guide along the way. I highly recommend this class."
Good to know
I've never made art. Is this really for me?
Yes. Most of my students are beginners. Alcohol ink is the most forgiving medium there is, and I walk you through every step. No art experience needed. Truly.
What if my pieces don't turn out?
They will. Ink makes gorgeous shapes on its own, and I help you steer it. If you still don't love them, the guarantee has you covered: full refund, no questions asked.
How do the coasters stay waterproof?
We seal them with a varnish and a UV clear coat. I demo it outside at the end of class, and you go home with step-by-step instructions so they stay waterproof and vivid for years.
What does it cost, and can I bring a friend?
$249 per person, taxes and all materials included. Two seats are $478 (you save $20). Max 10 people.
Are alcohol inks toxic or smelly?
They have a light scent, like hand sanitizer, that fades quickly as they dry. The room is well ventilated, masks are available, and you can step out any time. The pace is gentle and flexible.
Where is it, and where do I park?
Cook Street Village Activity Centre, 380 Cook Street, Victoria. There is 2-hour street parking and a free lot for students. Map here.
How are the ornaments made?
You drip ink inside clear glass ornaments and swirl. The colour coats the inside and dries into a marbled pattern. It takes minutes, and they come out stunning every time.
What do I need to bring?
Nothing. Every material is supplied. Wear clothes you don't mind getting a little ink on.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel at least 7 days before the class and you get a full refund.
